HOME DEPOT APP DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTION
I was hired at Design Center to write the Home Depot Exteriors sales app. The client wanted us to infuse the brand throughout the experience. we wanted to drive adoption so months of UX work wouldn’t go to waste. We succeeded.
When they purchased from a salesperson using the app, customers immediately received a video with one of the simplest messages I’ve ever written: a dozen or so Home Depot employees saying “We got this.”
CAMBRIA MULTI-CHANNEL MARKETING
After successfully updating their website, I was hired at Cambria as a fill-in while they found a full-time writer. I stayed two years, helping them speak to all four of their channels (Buyers, Designers, Contractors, and Fabricators) in both consumer and commercial markets. We launched designs, celebrated success stories, and spoke to concerns such as wellness and sustainability.
DESIGN CENTER MARKETING
Design Center realized they had an eight-person creative department and no creative director. Through the EOS process, I was awarded the position, despite being the only non-designer on staff. I managed the creative group; created budgets; helped people develop professionally; collaborated with other departments; crafted a brand tone: articulated Design Center’s distinctive process in ten powerpoint slides; created social media, web, and trade show assets; and explained in a series of blog posts how the company thought about app design.
